Houston, Texas, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Learning Care, a nationwide provider of early education and childcare, will celebrate the grand opening of Everbrook Academy of Sunterra, a new 11,400-square-foot early education center with a capacity to serve up to 188 children, located at 2171 Tantara Bend Drive in Katy, Texas. The new school brings Learning Care's presence in Harris County, home to Houston, to 27 schools

A ribbon cutting ceremony, supported by The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, will be held Wednesday, October 7, from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Dr. Johnna Weller, Chief Education and Impact Officer at Learning Care, will attend and join the Chamber in welcoming the school to the community. Members of the media are invited to attend.

Families, local residents and members of the media are also invited to the school's grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Guests can tour the new school, meet teachers and staff, learn about the school’s programs, and enjoy activities while getting a first look at a space designed to inspire a love of learning.

"We're thrilled to open our doors and become a trusted partner to the families who call Katy home," said Dr. Weller. "As this community continues to grow, parents deserve care they can count on and an education that gives their children a strong start. Everbrook Academy of Sunterra is designed to spark curiosity from the very first day and prepare children with the confidence and skills they need for kindergarten and beyond."

Everbrook Academy of Sunterra is backed by Learning Care's nearly 60 years of experience in childcare and early childhood education. The school will offer programs for infants, toddlers, preschool and pre-K, each designed to support children at their own stage of development. Its curriculum brings the world into every classroom through integrated, hands-on experiences that build curiosity, confidence and creativity, guided by credentialed, caring educators who take a whole-child approach to teaching.

Tuition includes diapers, meals and snacks, as well as daily updates on each child's day through Learning Care's proprietary SproutAbout app, which includes live-streaming access.
